Dunes...

Today's distance: 82km (51 Miles)

There are hills in Holland after all! In the dunes... We mainly took the LF1 bicycle route today which is part of the European North Sea bicycle route that circles the North Sea through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Scotland, and England (3,750 miles). Maybe a future adventure for us? It would be like the loop around the Pamlico sound, except a little longer..

Another beautiful day out there! Some of you are probably sick of hearing that. Sorry, no tales of misery in the rain yet, but stay tuned.. We rode through Wassenaar early on and ogled all the beautiful homes there. Many with thatched roofs. Lots of Embassies from other countries as well. We got passed by many groups of sport cyclists on the path through the dunes, many of them women. We saw several of them further on at a beach cafe where we stopped as well for coffee. Amazing sight to see a Dutch beach so empty on such a sunny and warm day! All the Germans that usually vacation at the beaches here obviously must have gone back home to work. Lucky us!

We decided to stop at a small campground in a town called "Wijk an Zee". Short blog since there is no wifi and we have a weak Vodafone signal.. All is well with us.
